The onshape desktop client [ a smartbench experience ] has been a passion project for us, combining our expertise in the onshape api and interest in porting new software to outdated technology. this new, yet somewhat derivative, tool features: unexpected crashes when was the last time onshape crashed on you? maybe never!. I really love onshape, it has met all my expectations. unfortunately, i designed my whole model and discovered that it was too small.
I am not seeing any blue anywhere, yet the tab to the left says sketch not fully defined. what gives?. How do you create a single part from multiple parts in onshape? i have two relatively complex parts that i want to combine into one part that have been imported from solidworks. i don't want to have to remodel either parts the parts need to become one part as the part is intended for 3d printing. thanks w. I've been using onshape for my 3d print projects for over a year now and am very happy with this software. back then the free subscription was prominently marketed on the website. i am aware of restriction imposed on the free version last year (commercial use etc.). i've been promoting onshape to the 3d printng community, but now on the website there is no mention of the free version anymore. Welcome to the onshape forum! ask questions and join in the discussions about everything onshape. first time visiting? here are some places to start: looking for a certain topic? check out the categories filter or use search (upper right). need support? ask a question to our community support category. please submit support tickets for bugs but you can request improvements in the product.

I've created a simple gear designer using onshape variables. to generate a gear copy the gear parts studio into your own document using the onshape 'paste tab' feature. change the few variables and you will have a gear to your requirements. note: the model is defined in iso millimeters. the following variables can be modified: teeth the number of teeth on the gear od the outside diameter. The "transform" tool lets you translate or rotate sketch entities, but i don't see a way to flip them. is there an easy way to do this?.
