Something daly has done with its m 5 that i like is to spec a round trigger guard so the m 5 fits standard 1911 gear. helping in that respect is that the pistol grip is only 1.26 inches wide even though the daly has a staggered 10 round magazine. For those of you familiar with the gun, bul makes them all black with black or “blue” controls except for the grip safety which is in stainless. i would like to replace the hammer, ambi safety, slide release and trigger with stainless parts. You can make a para mag fit the bul m5 by filing on the top of the magazine catch hole with a flat jeweler’s file until the magazine clicks in and feeds properly. The fit and finish of the staccato is clearly better than the bul, but whether it's 1k better is doubtful. the slide to frame fit on my bul is rather generous not sloppy but there is considerable play, which doesn't bother me much.
