AI For Materials Science | AI4Science Talks This article reviews the development procedure and recent innovations in materials data infrastructure, machine learning in materials, autonomous experiment, intelligent computation, and intelligent manufacture. Its core objective is to advance ai driven discovery in materials science, medicine, biology, and mathematics, while fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and promoting open, fair science across europe. The conference provided a unique opportunity for those working at the interface of materials science and ai to come together and discuss the latest developments. We are looking for contributors/experts for specific areas related to ai for science. the expected contributions include a three level write up, a one paragraph introduction and learning material in section 2 or 3 (depending on the topic in ai or science), common terminologies and short explanations in section 5, and a specialized chapter.

In this talk, i will present real world case studies from industry research, particularly in biotechnology and materials science, to illustrate how ai is reshaping scientific workflows. The workshop showcased ai’s impact in materials science, particularly in chemistry. speakers emphasized ai's role in predicting molecular properties, designing molecules, and speeding up synthesis processes. In march 2025, the materials research society (mrs), in collaboration with nature, hosted a two day virtual workshop focused on the transformative role of artificial intelligence (ai) in materials science. workshop organizers markus buehler, from the massachusetts institute of technology (mit) and impact editor of mrs bulletin, and kristina kareh, senior editor for materials science for nature.
