To add links to your deviantart descriptions, simply place the web address within brackets and separate it with commas. for example, [https://www.example.com], would appear as a clickable link in your description. The only way i could get a working ping out of it was to write @username in the description, but that doesn't really highlight anything, and doesn't even show that it is a link to an account unless you actively hoover the text.
