Collaborate with destination nsw, destination sydney surrounds south and neighbouring regions, and foster engagement with industry to leverage marketing opportunities which support the delivery of kiama’s tourism and events objectives. Destination kiama is the team within kiama municipal council that coordinates destination management, tourism operations, opportunities, strategic marketing, industry and experience development, partnerships and destination events. Destination kiama is currently running a winter campaign in partnership with local businesses, offering deals to visitors to increase the town’s off peak season. winners of the top tourism town awards will be announced later this month. The destination events funding program invests $130,000 each year, over two rounds, supporting a diverse range of events that bring significant cultural, economic, and social benefits to our community, including contributing our vibrant tourism and visitor economy.
