Grandfather | Texas Story Project This boy became a man, who became a father, and eventually, became my grandfather. somewhere in cassiano, a neighborhood in the west side of san antonio, my grandfather, daniel salazar, lived in a two roomed home with his mother, father and seven siblings. The project was designed to expand the reach of the bullock museum, texas’s official state history museum, by collecting stories from a large statewide constituency beyond its austin, texas based geographic vicinity, serving 254 texas counties and 1,784 communities throughout the state.
