The covid 19 pandemic’s impact on mental health and wellbeing is discussed throughout the articles of this special issue demonstrating distinct and nuanced issues experienced for both students and educators respectively. Results: the review shows notable increase in research, particularly in 2022 and 2023, representing 37.9% and 35.9% of studies, respectively. this suggests a growing interest in teacher wellbeing among educational researchers. This qualitative study explores the perceptions and experiences of college students, faculty, and administrators on mental well being pre and post covid 19 pandemic. Overall results suggest that grit and gratitude can be promoted to protect college students' subjective wellbeing and better cope with adversity of the pandemic.
