Letterboxd Profiles Are Wild : R/redscarepod Honestly as long as it doesn't count towards the review of the movie this seems strangely reasonable. most letterboxd reviews are just 5/5 ratings and a shitty one liner that tries to combine like 8 pop culture references anyway. The most brainwormed part of letterboxd is paying for different film posters or unique avatars and thinking that's good and normal and that your not just paying money for files that you don't own.

For example, a brutal thriller movie with a psychotic woman lead will have top comments such as "she ate and served" or " [insert female character] is the mentally ill queen we need.". Letterboxd is only good if you have friends to follow. me and two of my best friends from college follow each other. it’s fun to see what we’re all watching. also i don’t read anyone else’s reviews. but try to leave my own brief joke or comment.

I don’t really understand how people use letterboxd as a social network, i just use it to log films i’ve just watched with a quick rating so that i can remember how i felt about a film when dementia finally kicks in.
