Academic | Marsden When planning for our science curriculum, we intend for children to have the opportunity, wherever possible, to learn through varied systematic investigations, leading to them being equipped for life to ask and answer scientific questions about the world around them. Marsden primary’s steam curriculum engages students in hands on exploration of science, technology, arts, and the world around them. this dynamic approach integrates the arts into our inquiry based learning, allowing students to investigate science both in our labs and in real world contexts.

Today we became scientists and looked at how penguins keep dry. we learnt they have special waxy feathers. we all made our own waxy penguins and tested them by spraying on water. we all managed to create a waterproof penguin! ← aha! oho! a trail in the snow! we have been learning all about penguins!. Primary students have unique opportunities to experience the upper school science laboratories, art house, gym and other upper school facilities. how do we teach? marsden primary is committed to building strong foundations in literacy and numeracy through evidence based programmes.
