Meaningful youth engagement refers to the active involvement of young people in all stages of decision making, from planning and implementation to monitoring and evaluation. Over the past few years, the presence of students and members of youth led organisations in global health spaces has led to the meaningful and sustainable engagement of young people in global agendas. The ifmsa works in public health, sexual and reproductive health and rights (srhr), human rights and peace, medical education and students’ exchanges and champions advocacy on health equity and meaningful youth engagement. As someone who worked with medical education since the beginning of my college years, i automatically think about meaningful student engagement! for me, the first step in policy is to understand your reality and act on it.
