Pdf Surface Modification Of Carbon Nanotubes To Improve Dispersion In Persian Herein, in this review, we summarize recent breakthroughs in the strategies of surface modification methods and mechanisms for cnts dispersion and highlight the key ongoing research challenges. The methods presented herein show that solubilized carbon nanotubes have a great potential in being applied as reactants and components for advanced solar cell technologies, nanochemical compounds in electronics and as parts in thermal transfer management.

C Special Issue Surface Modification Of Carbon Nanotubes The following six approaches in surface modifications of mwcnts were carried out to study their effects on dispersibility. Here, we review recent progress and advances that have been made on dispersion of carbon nanotubes in aqueous and organic media by non covalent adsorption of surfactants and polymers. In this work, selected carbon based nanomaterials were characterized concerning their structural and surface properties and were also investigated regard ing their dispersibility behavior in three diferent sol vent dispersant systems. This chapter will discuss in detail the need for surface modification, types of modifications depending upon the degree of dispersion and degree of substitution in surface modifications (chemical, physical, ligand exchange, and polymerization).
