In this paper, a q learning algorithm is developed to design the output feedback optimal tracking control strategy, such that the optimal quadratic tracking problem can be solved without the knowledge of system dynamics. This chapter presents adaptive solutions to the optimal tracking problem of nonlinear discrete time and continuous time systems. these methods find the optimal feedback and feedforward parts of the control input simultaneously, without requiring complete knowledge of the system dynamics. In this project, the optimal tracking control problem (otcp) for the quadrotor which is a highly coupling system with completely unknown dynamics is addressed based on data by introducing the reinforcement learning (rl) technique. the proposed off policy rl algorithm does not need any knowledge of the quadrotor model. Firstly, the otcp is converted into the stabilizing optimization control problem by constructing a novel stochastic augmented system. the discounted performance index with nonquadratic utility function is formulated such that the input constraint can be encoded into the optimization problem. We first study the optimal tracking control problem of affine nonlinear systems, and after that we study the optimal tracking control problem of nonaffine nonlinear systems. it is noticed that most real world systems need to be effectively controlled within a finite time horizon. This paper devotes to solving the optimal tracking control (otc) problem of singular perturbation systems in industrial processes under the framework of reinforcement learning (rl) technology. the encountered challenges include the different time scales in system operations and an unknown slow proce ….
