I was able to get it to work by having both twinmotion 2024 and 2025 installed at the same time. "open in twinmotion" command from revit creates the project in twinmotion 2024, then i save the twinmotion file. then i opened twinmotion 2025 and opened the project, which converts it to 2025, and saved the project. datasmith synchronization works even in the 2025 twinmotion file! i think autodesk.
