They thought it was legit because the hackers compromised company x’s email server and was able to watch email traffic to determine style/tone to compose an email. they were also able to send/receive through company x’s domain. Most wallets are filled with the scammers own money to suggest higher usage. colton is soooooo getting fired for this linus screaming over the sheer vastness of his open warehouse now that all the inventory is moved to lab. After using a cash point machine, i had ~$5000 taken out of my bank account (and deposited onto gambling websites). when i called the police, they said, "what do you want us to do about it?" i was confused, "whatever you want; i am reporting a crime." the police explained that they don't investigate cybercrime. It’s much easier to hack someone when they’ve got your password from malware on your machine and no 2fa, but with it? hijacked session cookie, most probably. probably some malware from a dodgy email, scrapes your pc for cookies. if they have your cookies, they don't need a password or 2fa.
