If i had an opportunity to talk with sofi's marketing team about their goals for product adverts on the app homepage, i could've analyzed the conversion metrics of the current design and benchmarked it against this redesign. Since deadlines were short, we decided to split the development time into 3 different phases: (1) ultra simple version just to go live, (2) polished version with all elements added, and (3) 3d. They mentioned it's in the works. they have revamped relay on desktop and it's fine. i don't mind the current ui with the exception of lack of dark mode across the app. i came from pnc and the sofi ui is so much easier to navigate. A basic level of customer experience concerning app ui is widely expected nowadays. sofi, being a "digital first" online bank, is in the process of meeting this standard, but hasn't quite reached it yet. the quality of the user interface is incredibly important for a fully online bank. I just noticed the font change slightly and the tiles are also slightly adjusted. if you don't pay a lot of attention it would definitely be easy to overlook.
