Looking for general advice on how to become good at any souls games: dark souls series, elden ring, nioh, sekiro, etc. i've tried and tried over the years but am still bad at it. i study enemy movements and try to counter and dodge but still those games are too punishingly hard. To start i would advise you to pick whichever souls game you like best and look up how to move forward wherever you're at. usually a quick look at the wiki is all you need. I own a few of the souls games through steam sales and such, and i have never taken the time to try and play through them. tonight i am planning to start a playthrough of one of them, and i eventually want to play them all. that said, i have no idea where to start. Elden ring is definitely the friendliest one in terms of flexibility and quality of life improvements. the open world also gives you ample freedom to explore and take on a wide array of enemies/bosses if one of them stumps you.
