Unicode Keyboard Shortcuts | Homebrew Talk - Beer, Wine, Mead, & Cider Brewing Discussion Forum From time to time some of you might want to be able to use some special characters in your posts to clarify your writings. i made a limited jpeg of some commonly used ones for use on windows machines. there's a completely different set of commands for similar characters on a mac, so this pic is only for pcs:. Unicode Keyboard Shortcuts | Homebrew Talk - Beer, Wine, Mead, & Cider Brewing Discussion Forum I have collected the unicode code of all the characters i use; most of them i already can memorize. in libreoffice it is possible to type the unicode code of a desired character (without u ) and then press alt x in order to convert the code into the corresponding character. So i tried using key presses to imitate pressing ctrl shift u and then typing the code. couldn't figure it out for ydotool. then i edited my keyboard's firmware and i did manage to create a macro that does ctrl shift u unicode code, and it works. Any ideas on how i can define a custom keyboard shortcut on windows to enter semi space (or any unicode character available in character map) anywhere i write text (and not just a specific app like office)?. I saw a lot of “options” in “configure desktop> regional & language> keyboard layout> advanced”. i had no idea what i should choose to make it so that (left) shift ctrl unicode would give me any of the various characters i need.

How can i define a new shortcut that behaves similarly to ctrl shift u for entering unicode characters? i would like to set up a new shortcut for entering latex commands which will then be translated into unicode characters using unicodeit. Unfortunately in homebrew, there are many shortcuts that can be very useful, but are never explicitly mentioned. for that reason, those functions have been listed here. Hey everyone! i've been looking and looking but can't seem to find a list of keyboard shortcuts within homebrewery. is there one in hb or do i have to look on github?. Hi, i was wondering if there was a way to have the custom shortcuts insert unicode characters, rather than plain (ascii?) text. i tried putting the character itself into the box, and the code, but neither filled them in. assistance would be appreciated.
