University Of Basel Department Of Biomedicine | Projects | Caruso St John Architects The department of radiology and nuclear medicine is divided into four organ specific departments and the departments of interventional radiology, nuclear medicine, radiopharmaceutical chemistry and radiological physics. Imaging and diagnostic tools in general are fostering advances in personalized medicine by providing a deeper understanding of the structure and function of the human body. We also offer various lectures and seminars on radiation physics and radiation protection, special topics in mr and biomedical technology. we regularly organize training courses for occupationally exposed persons at the university hospital basel, particularly on the subject of radiation protection. We collaborate closely with the departments of neurology and clinical research at the university hospital basel as well as with international partners such as the universities of calgary, bern, göttingen and hamburg.
