A three month training programme for tvet managers, teachers and ict staff in five countries was complemented with a series of webinars open to the wider tvet community to help build digital capacities. Held on 1 february 2021, this webinar focused on the main findings of the new publication entitled skills development in the time of covid 19: taking stock of the initial responses in technical and vocational education and training.

Covid 19 Webinar – Prajyoti Niketan College, Pudukad A three month training programme for tvet managers, teachers and ict staff in five countries was complemented with a series of webinars open to the wider tvet community to help build digital capacities. Held on 1 february 2021, this webinar focused on the main findings of the new publication entitled skills development in the time of covid 19: taking stock of the initial responses in technical and vocational education and training. After session i ended, video of covid 19 response was shared to gain attention of participants by hearing from the concerns and hope of students and teachers from some countries in the region amid the pandemic. In efforts to mitigate the short term and long term impact of the covid 19 pandemic, governments have deployed strategies and approaches corresponding the preparedness of countries to tackle the issue in different fronts. If we want to ensure that the shift to distance and online learning both meets immediate learning needs and prepares us for more effective tvet and skill systems in the future, a number of key measures need to be taken now and in the months ahead. Within the framework of the oic vet programme, sesric organised a webinar on “best practices of tvet centres amid the covid 19 pandemic” on 25 june 2020.
