Youth Engagement Project Authentic youth engagement means that youth are active partners in shaping decisions, policies, and programs; empowered and valued as contributors, co creators, and decision makers in their communities; and intentionally supported in these roles. The event wrapped up with the completion of the youth engagement survey, which zeroed in on mixed use areas. this survey, intentionally designed at a 2nd grade reading level and consisting of 10 questions, didn't require any personal identifying information.

In the authentic youth engagement in policy project’s summary report, we apply the framework to policy wins across the five organizations, summarize key findings, and share recommendations to strengthen authentic youth engagement in the policy process.
