The live4life model is a community driven, long term framework that empowers regional and rural communities to reduce youth suicide and improve youth mental health. A key component of the live4life program, run by not for profit entity youth live4life, is a ‘crew’ of youth mental health ambassadors aged 14–16 years who undergo a mental health education, leadership, and advocacy program. Youth live4life mentor and support staff to implement the live4life model and reach sustainability. live4life is helping young people living in rural and regional victoria to resolve and. Live4life focuses on early intervention that is about reducing stigma, raising awareness of warning signs, fostering help seeking and encouraging peer support. it is empowered and sustained via ongoing community partnerships and participation so that it becomes embedded in the community.
